Service Description
This yoga class is designed to lift your mood, calm anxiety, reduce stress & elevate your spirits. As we journey through life woe can experience emotional fluctuations & suffer from low mood, increased anxiety, self doubt & loss of enthusiasm. This class is a tonic for theses issues. Yoga is a helpful complementary practice for managing anxiety, depression & stress. Yoga uses physical postures, breathing exercises, mindfulness, relaxation & meditation to regulate energy & promote overall well-being. We will also use acupressure points that specifically address these issues. Here are some ways yoga can help manage anxiety, low mood &/or depression: - Stress Reduction. Yoga can lower levels of cortisol, the body’s main stress hormone, leading to reduced anxiety & stress. - Physical Activity: Regular physical activity is beneficial for mental health. - Mindfulness: Yoga encourages mindfulness, - Meditation Practices: Calm the mind, reduce anxiety, elevate mood & promote a sense of inner peace. - Enhanced Relaxation: Yoga practices like Savasana & Yoga Nidra help to relax the body & reduce physical tension, which help reduce anxiety & improve sleep. - Improved Circulation: Yoga improves blood circulation, reducing physical symptoms of anxiety. - Breathing Techniques: yogic breathing exercises, help calm the nervous system and improve emotional regulation. - Hormonal Balance: The reduction of Stress Hormones: - Improved Sleep: Yoga can improve sleep quality & duration, which is crucial for managing anxiety, stress & depression. - Community & Support: Practicing yoga in a group can provide a sense of community & support, which is beneficial for those feeling isolated and /or experiencing anxiety or depression. - Enhanced Cognitive Function: Meditation & mindfulness assist cognitive function & enhance focus. - Research Studies: Numerous studies show that yoga can significantly reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression. - Personalized Approach: Yoga is tailored to the individual.
