Service Description

In this yoga class we will explore all aspects of aging, including how our movement patterns, mind set and stress levels affect our body. We will delve into techniques we can use to maintain, if not progress, our flexibility, strength, energy levels, fitness and balance while reducing our stress levels. In all areas modifications will be available to ensure everyone benefits fully from the practise. This class emphasizes mindful movement, breath awareness, and relaxation techniques that cater to the unique needs of aging bodies. Whether you're new to yoga or an experienced practitioner, AgeWell Yoga offers a safe and welcoming environment to enhance your physical and mental well-being, promoting longevity and vitality. This practice is ideal for those looking to stay active, reduce stress, and age gracefully with a strong, flexible body and a calm, centered mind. The class will incorporate many different styles of yoga including Classical Yoga, Face Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Yoga Sculpt (Yoga with Weights), Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga, depending of the focus of our class that week. We will utilize the myriad of yogic breathing practises as well as acupressure to purify and energise the body as well as calm, soothe and focus the mind. We will also incorporate potent meditation and relaxation practises that are so beneficial and healing for body, mind and soul. Suitable for all levels of ability and practise, beginners welcome. Booking is essential. Please advise your teacher if you are pregnant or have any injuries. Dress in comfortable clothes that you can move freely in. For your comfort leave at least an hour gap between a large meal and coming to class. Please bring a pillow case to class if you would like a hygienic bolster cover. You are welcome to bring your yoga mat and 2 blankets to class if you prefer to use your own. Offered as a 5 Week Course or drop-in basis Term 3 B runs Monday 26th August to Sunday 29th September Venue: MG Yoga - 100 Princes Hwy Thirroul *MG Yoga is a bespoke Yoga Studio located in a lush, secret valley in Thirroul, located on the left going up Bulli Pass. *We provide a safe, supportive space and use a high grade HEPA air filter during classes. *Please note we have plenty of off street parking, please drive down our long, steep, safe, concrete driveway and park in the car park near the studio.
