Yoga for Queenagers.Â
Peri/Menopause is a natural transition that every woman will move through. This 5 Week term course is designed to empower you and provide tools to manage the common symptoms of  perimenopause and beyond using yoga postures, breathwork, meditation, and relaxation techniques. You will be in a caring community of women who are all moving through this rite of passage, enabling you to share your experiences and challenges with those who can relate.Â
***Please note our coming term is 4 weeks as I am away in early August, term dates are 25th July and the 1st, 15th and 22nd August.***
We will explore the yogic techniques we can use to navigate these changing waters. Each week will have a theme incorporating some of the main challenges encountered, designed to assist you to minimize, navigate and manage the waves experienced during Perimenopause and beyond including:-
-Hot flushes and night sweats
-Stress and unexplained anxiety.
-Brain fog and trouble concentrating.
-Self doubt and loss of confidence.
-Trouble sleeping or staying asleep.
-Emotional turbulence and mood swings.
-Weight gain
-Aches and pains
Like our teenage years, we are transitioning into the unknown, a new phase, with major changes and growing pains. It is the death of our past life, our past identity; this can bring up resistance and a desire to hold onto how things were. Instead, we need to trust and let go, reframe our new incarnation and the changes and freedoms it brings. We will explore and celebrate this major physical and spiritual transformation, identify the areas we need to grow and those that we need to release to move forward with grace and confidence.
We will use yoga poses & props, as needed, along with breathing techniques, meditation practises, accupressure and relaxation techniques to balance, restore, heal, stretch, destress and relax body, mind and soul. Â We will build on what we have learned every week and deepen our understanding and practise as we move through the course, consolidating as we go.Â
Suitable for all levels of ability and practise, beginners welcome. There is no expectation to be flexible or fit, just a willingness to have a go.
Booking is essential. Please advise your teacher if you are pregnant (yes increased fertility can be a brief sympotom of perimenopause) or have any injuries so we can modify the practise so you gain the maximum benefits, Dress in comfortable clothes that you can move freely in. For your comfort leave at least an hour gap between a large meal and coming to class.
Please bring a pillow case to class if you would like a hygenic bolster cover. You are welcome to bring your yoga mat and 2 blankets to class if you prefer to use your own, otherwise they are supplied.
Term 3A Dates: Thursday 25th July  and 1st, 15th and 22nd August.

Investment: $80 for the 4 week term or $25 drop-in class.

*MG Yoga is a bespoke Yoga Studio located in a lush, secret valley in Thirroul, located on the left going up Bulli Pass.
*We provide a safe, supportive space and use a high grade HEPA air filter during classes.
*Please note we have plenty of off street parking, please drive down our long, steep, safe, concrete driveway and park in the car park near the studio.
