Are you wondering what exactly menopause is and what you can expect? And perimenopause - what even is that? Then this three hour workshop is for you. We will cover all things menopause invcluding the main symptoms that commonly arise. This workshop is suitable for women from 35 onwards who maybe beginning to experience the effects of early hormone fluctuations, arming you with knowledge and techniques for these changes to empower you to best navigate and advocate your own journey.
Menopause is a natural evolution that every woman will take and the majority of women will experience peri/menopause symptoms as they journey towards and through menopause. This is major life transition and evolution as we evolve from the "mother" achetype to the "wise woman".
Some of the main symptoms can include:
- insomnia,
- anxiety,
- depression,
- fatigue,
- overwhelm,
- brain fog,
- hot flushes,
- loss of libido,
- mood swings,
- loss of confidence
We will be using yoga postures, breathwork, meditation, accupressure and relaxation techniques as well as discuassing natural and allopathic options that are available. All welcome. Suitable for all levels of ability and practise, no previous yoga experience is required. Bookings essential.
We will use yoga poses & props as needed, along with breathing techniques, acupressure, meditation practises and relaxation techniques to balance, restore, heal, stretch, destress and relax body, mind and soul. We will discuss and explore the natural and allopathic options that are available as well as acessible tools and practises that you can take home to use, to navigate these changing waters, as needed.
You will be held in a womens circle with a caring community of women who are all moving through this rite of passage together, enabling you to share your experiences and challenges with those who can relate.
Your teacher Megan has been teaching yoga for 20 years. She is a Registered Senior Teacher with Yoga Australia and is a certified Menopause Yoga Teacher, which is an accredited course by Yoga Australia and the British Yoga Wheel. Megan is also an accredited Hatha Yoga Teacher, and a Level 2 Kundalini Yoga Teacher.
Please let megan know if you are pregnant or have any injuries so we can modify the practise for you. Dress in comfortable clothes that you can move freely in. Leave at least an hour gap between a large meal and coming to class.
Please bring a pillow case to class if you would like a hygenic bolster cover. You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat and 2 blankets to class, otherwise they are supplied.
Tea and nibblies will be provided afterward.

Venue: MG Yoga - 100 Princes Hwy Thirroul MG Yoga is a bespoke Yoga Studio, located in nature in a secluded valley on the left going up Bulli Pass. Please drive down our long driveway, it is concrete, steep and safe. There is plenty of parking and room to turn around at the bottom. Alternatively you can park nearby in Bangalow Rd and walk down.
